Welcome to Part 4 of my KREATE Space Makeover!

This part features my KREATE Closet for all of my Barbie doll clothes, shoes, and accessories.
While going through my process of building and designing this closet, I wanted the shelves to act both as displays and storage areas.

The first shelf on both bookcases are used to display my current fancy dress and ballgown collection that I hope to grow more in the future.

The second shelves of both bookcases are going to be used as 1:6 scale rooms for the closet for doll photography on the KREATE Closet Instagram page (@the.kreate.closet).
One room is the official closet set where clothes, shoes, and accessories will be displayed in photos. The room features two wooden cube shelves that I painted turquoise along with two plastic turquoise paper organizers stacked on top of each other to act as an accent wall. I also purchased a gold clothing rack with matching hangers. I included an acrylic chair, mannequin, and tropical wall print in the room as well for an added detail.
The other room is the fitting room for behind the scenes photos. It features the same accent wall as the closet with a few added furniture pieces such as a large gray armchair from a previous KREATE project, a rotating display that functions as a 1:6 scale pedestal, an acrylic chair, and a miniature metal locker for extra storage.
Remote-controlled puck lights were added to the ceiling of each room for additional lighting in photos.

The third shelves on both bookcases are home to most of my doll clothes, shoes, bags, and purses.

I organized all of the clothes by type and color in four more of the SYSMAX units in white that I found at my local TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores. I discovered that this method was the easiest way for me to pull and return clothes that I use for photoshoots rather than my previous method of using binders and sheet protectors.

In addition to color coding the clothes, I also used a few small Sterilite drawers to organize my bags, purses, and shoes.

The bottom of the left bookcase contains three medium sized acrylic bins that I use to store costumes, career clothing, and multi-colored dresses and shirts. I cut scrapbook paper to fit into the front of the bins for an added pop of color to match the color scheme of the closet.

The bottom of the right bookcase contains four white plastic storage bins that I use to store all of my jackets and coats. They are also organized by color for easy access when styling photoshoots.

On each side of the two bookcases are two more of the media towers like the one that I used in the snack bar area.
Tower 1 functions as additional storage for clothes and accessories. An acrylic plastic turntable is stored on the first shelf to organize clothes, shoes, and accessories that need to be returned to their storage spots in the closet after photoshoots.

The second shelf holds a miniature wooden dresser that I purchased from Michaels. It is painted gold to match the color scheme of the closet as well and currently holds all of the extra hangers and miniature clothespins for the clothing rack when not in use.

The fourth shelf contains two more of the small Sterilite drawers that I used on the bookshelves. These drawers hold all of the contents of the Barbie x PUMA collection from 2018-2019.

The bottom four shelves hold two small and two medium-sized plastic storage bins for the seasonal clothes and other accessories.

The second tower functions as storage for all of my Ken doll clothes, shoes and accessories.
The first shelf is currently empty but will soon be a mini workshop set primarily featured on the @luke.and.owen Instagram page.

The second shelf features some white wooden letters that I hot glued some gold gems on to create a marquee-style detail.

The third shelf holds all of my Ken doll shirts. I used this set of ombré photo cases that I purchased from Michaels to categorize the shirts by type, color, and style.

The bottom four shelves hold another two small and two medium plastic storage bins for the remaining clothes, shoes, and accessories.

I hope you enjoyed this part of the KREATE Space makeover! I linked some of the items featured in this post below.
Part 5 will feature my Style Station.
